Short Bio

Dr. Johanna Gast has been with Montpellier Business School since 2014. She began as a Research Assistant and PhD student from 2014 to 2017. Following this, she held the position of Assistant Professor from 2017 to 2020, before being promoted to Associate Professor in September 2020. She completed her Doctor of Science degree at Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finland, in 2017. Her current research interests span entrepreneurship, strategy, innovation, family businesses, SMEs, and management. She has contributed to various esteemed journals including the Journal of Product Innovation Management, Small Business Economics, Journal of Small Business Management, International Small Business Journal, International Journal of Management Review, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, International Journal of Hospitality Management, and World Development, among others.
